Slain gangster Sandeep Gadoli's girlfriend held by Mumbai Police

The special investigating team of Mumbai police has arrested the girlfriend, Divya Pahuja, of slain gangster Sandeep Gadoli, from her residence in Baldev Nagar on Thursday.

DIVYA'S MOTHER ALSO ARRESTED

Mumbai police believes that she had played a crucial role in tracing Gadoli's location to a hotel in Andheri east locality on February 7 this year. The crime branch has also arrested her mother for shielding her. Sources have said Pahuja reached her Gurugram home last night and the Mumbai police raid happened around 1.30pm on Thursday.

A crime branch team of Gurugram police, headed by sub-inspector Praduman Yadav, along with 4 police officers, traced Gadoli to an airport hotel on the basis of his girl friend's post on her Facebook account while travelling to Mumbai via road. Her mother was in constant touch with her and she had an access to Divya's Facebook account and Gurugram crime branch had forced her mother to keep updating about her location.

DIVYA PLAYED CRUCIAL ROLE: POLICE

Mumbai police has already arrested sub-inspector Praduman Yadav and two constables Jitendar Yadav and Vikram Singh in this connection. The other two officers Deepak Kumar and Paramjeet Ahlawat are still absconding with Mumbai police lodging murder charges against them.

Gadoli, along with his two associates and Pahuja, had booked three rooms in an airport hotel in Andheri east locality on February 7 and his alleged encounter was carried out on the same day. The crime branch officials of Gurugram police had not even bothered to inform its Mumbai counterpart before raiding the hotel.

"Pahuja was clicking pictures of herself at different locations during her road journey to Mumbai and kept uploading the pictures on her Facebook account.
