Pomp House is very excited to present 'Henna Night' by Amy Rosenthal to the Camden Fringe 2016.
Judith (Laurie Delaney) leaves her ex-boyfriend a drunk desperate message on his answerphone saying that she is not coping with their break-up, that she has brought some razor blades and some henna in order to either slash her wrists or dye her hair, oh and also she might be pregnant. Yikes. Ros (Celine Abrahams), Jacks new partner and probably the worst person to aid the situation rushes to Judith's bedsit to try and find out whats going on.
Award-winning Henna Night is full of raw emotion, thrilling debate and ultimately a wickedly funny perceptive one act play about the intimacy and rivalry of female relationships. Directed by Antoinette Alexandrou.
"I went to Boots today and I bought a packet of henna and some razor blades... I thought, ok, I'm going to go home, drink a bottle of wine, and then depending how I feel tomorrow morning, I'll either slash my wrists or dye my hair. Either way, I'll ruin my bathroom carpet."
