Heavy showers bring temperature down

Kanpur: Heavy showers early on Thursday morning brought respite from the sultry weather conditions. The rainfall continued for over two hours.
The rain started at 3.30 am and continued beyond 6 am. The Met department of CSA University recorded 56.5 mm of rain in the morning. The total rainfall recorded on the day was 60 mm. There are forecasts of more showers.There has come a change in the direction of the winds, which may result in heavy rainfall. The clouds from Madhya Pradesh are expected to enter Uttar Pradesh from Bundelkhand region. The wind direction has changed from north-east to south-east which come from the Bay of Bengal.
The day temperature was recorded as 29.6 degrees which was below the average. The minimum temperature increased to 26 degrees which was above normal. On Tuesday, the day temperature was 29.2 degrees which had increased to 34.2 degrees on Wednesday and it came down again on Thursday.
But fall in the day temperature gave relaxation to the people.
