In 1964, Central College was transferred to Bangalore University. Noteble personalities like H. Narasimaiah, C. Rajagopalachari, Hospet Sumitra, N. Santosh Hegde studied here. The building is a architectural beauty. The watch tower which used to stand majestically is now seen out of order and banyan plants are already growing on the tower and roots are seen getting into the watch tower.
