Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has started an investigation into the alleged EPF evasion by Guru Ravidas Ayurved University (GRAU).

An EPFO enforcement officer visited the varsity and took some records in custody. University officials were asked to produce all the records pertaining to employees’ attendances and salaries from the time the university started.

GRAU had come under the lens for violating EPF norms as none of its employees was being covered under any of the provident fund (PF) schemes. Based on a complaint, the EPFO had initiated an inquiry into it.

Enforcement Officer Rajiv Mittal talked to university officials, including the deputy registrar, regarding non- implementation of EPF for its employees.

He said that some of the record was taken by him for investigation.
