Chennai, July 14 () Confectionery giant Mondelez, which makes Cadbury chocolates and Oreo biscuits, today said it is "actively" considering launching products targetted at the health conscious segment.
Mondelez India, part of US-listed Mondelez International with revenues of USD 30 billion, sells Oreo, Cadbury's Dairy Milk chocolates and Bournvita biscuits in the country, among other products.

Asked whether the company plans to launch biscuits with high fibre content, a senior Mondelez India executive said, "You referred to launch of high fibre biscuits. We are actively looking at launching India specific products."
"For example, we have breakfast biscuit globally, belVita. It is one of our popular products," Mondelez India Foods Pvt Ltd, Associate Director - Marketing, Biscuits India and Kids Fuel AP, Chella Pandyan said.
After launching light coloured cream biscuit -- Golden Oreo -- made with skimmed milk with added health benefits here, Pandyan told reporters here that the domestic biscuit market size is valued at Rs 25,000 crore and premium biscuit segment constitutes about Rs 2,500 crore.
On the company financials, he said, "We are a Rs 5,000 crore company and biscuit category is a growing business for us. We are inching closer to double digit in terms of contributions from this business to overall."

According to him, chocolates and beverages are the larger revenue contributors, followed by biscuits.
Mondelez has two manufacturing facilities, one in Ludhiana in Punjab and the other in Bengaluru.
Both plants are operating at 60 per cent capacity, he said, adding Tamil Nadu was the second largest market for the company in terms of revenue, followed by Maharashtra.
The launch of Golden Oreo would be followed by marketing campaigns, he said.
The biscuits are priced at Rs 35 for a 150 gram pack and Rs 10 for a 50 gram pack. VIJ APR BJ
