Pirelli will take the medium, soft and super-soft tyres to the Mexican Grand Prix.
The confirmation means the teams will have the same three tyres available for Austin and Mexico, which are back-to-back rounds at the end of October. The medium-soft-super-soft allocation has been the most popular this season, and Mexico will be the eleventh time it has been used in 2016.
As with Austin, the super-soft tyre will be set aside for Q3, with one set each of the soft and medium tyre labelled as the mandatory race sets. This means one of either must be used at some point during the grand prix. The teams get to pick the remaining ten sets.
The teams have one week from today to let the FIA know of its tyre choices, which have to be made 14 weeks out from a flyaway race.
