NNA - Britain expressed Tuesday concerns over violence in the South Lebanon of Sidon, renewing support for the Lebanese Armed Forces.



"I am deeply concerned about the violence in Sidon including the killing of a number of LAF members. I would like to pay condolences to their families and reiterate our strong support for the LAF in its efforts aimed to preserve peace in the country," British Minister for the Middle East and North Africa, Alistair Burt, said today.



He urged all parties in Lebanon to support the security forces and abide by the policy of dissociation policy from the conflict in Syria.



He called them to reach and early agreement on the formation of a new accord government able to run Lebanon and take it out from challenges the country is currently facing.
