The training will focus on evacuation operations with no combatants set on a tsunami-ravaged island.
Soldiers and officers from across the battalion will train at Marrangaroo Training Area for the first time in three years.
Hoping to reach out to local youth, the battalion is expecting approximately 50 Army and Air Force cadets from Bathurst and Lithgow to be in attendance for part of the activity.
As Defence assists Fiji in the wake of their recent earthquake in April 1/19 RNSWR has recognised assisting in the aftermath of natural disasters is a key role that the Army plays.
Mass civilian evacuations will be something new for most despite many in the battalion having experience in a number of natural disaster situations.
