Fee hike: ABVP stages protest

Ahmedabad: Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) members on Wednesday stormed the H K College in Ashram Road over the issue of fee hike in BA, BCom and BBA courses.
The students' body on Wednesday staged a demonstration against the fee hike in various city-based colleges. However, the incident took a turn for the worsen when a scuffle erupted between ABVP workers and college professors at the college campus.
According to sources, the issue then reached the city police but later the ABVP workers and the college authorities struck a compromise and complaint was not filed.However, the ABVP members later warned that they will continue to protest against the fee hike in these courses. ABVP members said that they will hold protest demonstrations in five city-based colleges.
