MENDHAR, July 13: Beopar Mandal members from Mendhar town and people from main bazar area near Bus Stand, have expressed serious concern over the power break down for the last one week.
Members of the Mandal and local traders alleged that electric transformer installed near Bus Stand, which provides power supply to the main market and bus stand area besides adjoining localities went out of order about one week back. The concerned PDD authorities were apprised of the matter.
But despite the passage of one week the transformer could not be repaired or replaced. The people of the area and mostly the traders are suffering. Entire area has been plunged into darkness. They said that matter was also brought to the notice of Executive Engineer, PDD Poonch and he was requested to restore power supply to the main market and as already many theft cases have taken place in this market in the recent past.
