Abans launches LG chillers and latest VRF technologies in Sri Lanka

The Central Air Conditioning Department of Abans PLC launched the latest LG chillers and LG VRF technologies in an impressive ceremony, along with a technical session and cocktail reception, held at the Grand Ballroom of Galadari Hotel in Colombo on Thursday 7 July.

The Chief Guests at the event were Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Chang Won Sam and Kang Hyung-Eun. 

Top management personalities from LG Electronics were also present. 

LG Electronics Singapore Managing Director Youn Chul Park led the high-powered delegation from LG Electronics. Abans Group Chairperson Aban Pestonjee and Abans PLC Managing Director Tito Pestonjee together with senior management personnel of Abans were also present.

After Tito Pestonjee delivered his welcome address, LG Electronics Singapore Senior Project Manager Virender Singh Rana formally launched LG’s new VRF Air Conditioning system - LG Multi V IV Ocean Black Fin, which is specially tailored to work in corrosive environments such as salty air and areas with heavy air pollution. 

LG Electronics Singapore Business Development and Innovation Manager Sandy Lim launched the LG Multi V Washable Water IV, which is ideally suited for buildings in coastal areas. 

LG Electronics, Korea Senior Manager, B2B Sales Engineering team Vishavjeet Sodhi made a presentation on LG DX AHU with VRF air conditioners – a cost effective solution for banquet and reception halls, auditoriums and large public spaces. The LG DX AHU with VRF air conditioners are available in both water cooled and air cooled systems for your venue needs.

In his speech, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Chang Won Sam praised LG’s positioning in Sri Lanka with Abans, a market leader in electronics and home appliances and appreciated Abans’ business position. He said he was pleased with the continued developments between LG and Abans, and the growth towards success by two brands in collaboration over decades.

LG Electronics Singapore Regional Sales Manager See Chenn Wang made an interesting presentation and unveiled the newest technology in LG Chillers – Gas Bearing Centrifugal Chillers.

Abans PLC Key Accounts Management and Marketing Senior Executive Darshika Samarathunga presented LG VRF remarkable reference projects including the “first-ever projects in Sri Lanka” such as Anantaya Hotel – Passikudah with LG Multi V Ocean Black Fin, Dutch Hospital – Galle with LG Multi V Water IV, Department of Civil Engineering – University of Moratuwa with LG Multi V Water IV – Shell & Coil, etc. 

An introduction on service of Abans PLC - Central Air conditioning Department along with the strengths in providing innovative solutions to different customer requirements was delivered by Abans PLC Central Air Conditioning Department DGM Buddhika Wasala while being thankful for the gathering for their support and interest over LG Central Air conditioner solutions. 

Delightful dance ensembles were strategically interspersed with the presentations and launch events which made the evening’s programme enjoyable. A business card draw was also held which was followed by cocktails.
