Lucknow: A man was thrashed to death by an irate group of villagers for allegedly murdering his sister-in-law in
Kakori on Wednesday. According to police,
Rajendra Yadav was mentally unsound and murdered his brother's wife
Kiran around 9am.

Pratap Gopendra Yadav said though there is no exact account of what transpired, it is believed that
Yadav was unhappy over Kiran's progressive outlook and slit her throat.
Soon a group of villagers surrounded him and chastised him for his act. Later, they beat him up till he fell unconscious. Apprehending police action, villagers fled the scene.
Kakori station officer R N Yadav said Rajendra was admitted to trauma centre after being thrashed by villagers where he succumbed to injuries.
Kiran (32) was killed by Rajendra when her husband
Bijendra Yadav was at his tea-stall and their children were in school.
