Get Yuna on Waze

One of the fun things about Waze is the customisable voice prompts. Apart from the standard voice packs, the GPS navigation app has featured celebrity voices, most notably Arnold Schwarzenegger doing his Terminator voice to promote Terminator: Genisys in 2015.

This year the celebrity voice is from someone closer to home – as part of a tie-up with cultured milk brand Calpis, Waze is now featuring the voice of singing sensation Yuna.

We’ve tried the Yuna voice for navigation and it’s quite amusing, as directions are basically sung out to you in her melodic voice.

There is no indication if the voice pack will only be available for a limited time but it probably is because in the past voice packs such as the Terminator one was removed after the promotion period even from users that had already downloaded it.

Nevertheless, it’s still available now, so if you want to try it out, go to Waze’s settings page and scroll down to “English (UK) - Yuna” to install the voice file.
