Indore: An emu bird, a fox, a python and a crane was adopted by the post office department in an official ceremony at the Indore Zoo on Tuesday.
With the aim to spread the message of conserving wildlife, this initiative was taken by the post office for the first time. "The post office through its postal life insurance section, Sukanya samriddhi yojna section and my stamp section has adopted these animals for six months.
Adoption includes paying for the food and maintenance expenses of the animal," Priti Agrawal, postal services director said.
