Heavy rain forecast

The India Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers at many places across Telangana on Wednesday with the likelihood of heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places in Adilabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Nizamabad and Warangal district. Rain hit many places over Telangana on Tuesday with the highest of 11 cm each at Adilabad and Boath. Hyderabad recorded an average of 1.2 mm rain till 8.30 pm on Tuesday and the forecast for the city on Wednesday is the possibility of intermittent rain. Good rainfall was recorded during the past 24 hours till 8.30 am on Tuesday at several places across Telangana including 10 cm at Utnoor (Adilabad) 9 cm each at Navipet and Ranjal (Nizamabad) and Mudhole (Adilabad), 8 cm each at Metpalle and Sarangapur (Karimnagar), 7 cm each at Ibrahimpatnam (Ranga Reddy), Khanpur (Adilabad), Pochampad (Nizamabad), 6 cm each at Luxettipet (Adilabad), Dharmapuri (Karimnagar), Varni , Nizamabad and Kotgiri (Nizamabad), 5 cm each at Jagtial (Karimnagar), Nandipet, Bodhan, Rudrur (A) and Mortad (Nizamabad), Mallial (Karimnagar) and Asifabad (Adilabad). Besides, Banswada, Birkur, Armoor and Jakranpalle (Nizamabad), Pegadapalle (Karimnagar) and Perur (Khammam) recorded 4 cm each and Balkonda, Kammarpalle, Velpur, Bheemgal, Dharpalle, Jukkal, Gandhari, Makloor, Yedapalle, Lingampet, Dichpalli and Sadashivnagar (Nizamabad), Mancherial, Chennur and Sirupur (T) (Adilabad), Julapalle, Sultanabad and Gambhiraopet (Karimnagar) recorded 3 cm each.
