High-level meet held in the wake of IB alert on possible terrorist attacks

Director-General of Police (DGP) J.V. Ramudu chaired an internal security meeting with senior officers from the police force, paramilitary, and intelligence departments.

Sources said that the meeting was convened in the wake of the Intelligence Bureau alert on the possible terrorist attacks in different parts of the State.

Besides Mr. Ramudu, officials from IB, New Delhi, and police officials from Chhattisgarh, Odisha and other States that have presence of Maoists, participated in the meeting.

According to sources, the agenda included internal security of Andhra Pradesh and tackling Maoists in the Andhra-Odisha Border (AOB) areas. Mr. Ramudu proceeded to Vizianagaram in the afternoon.
