Four teams from Hyderabad – represented by Abhinav Nukala (co-driver T. Laxmikanth), Jitendra Raju, Rajsekhara Prabhu (co-driver Mallesh) from Team Mars as well as Dr. Chaitanya Challa (co-driver Shabarish Jagarapu) as an individual entry – will compete in the Force Gurkha RFC (said to be India’s toughest off-road motor sport event, in Goa from July 22 to 29.
This event will feature competitors from across the country and is the India chapter of the iconic Rainforest Challenge of Malaysia.
The event is divided into four competitive legs – the Prologue, the Predator, the Terminator and the Twilight Zone – which are further segregated into 24 Special Stages. The team with the maximum points at the end of all the Special Stages is announced the winner of the competition and the top Indian driver gets an automatic, free entry to the RFC Mother Event to be held in Malaysia at the end of the year.
Among the contenders is Hyderabadi Rajasekhara Prabhu, 44, a car garage owner and a vehicle modification expert, as well as Jitendra Raju, 62, veteran rallyist and motorsport expert.
