Hubballi couple end life

Karibasappa Maradagi (35) and his wife Vijaya (32) of Raghavendra Colony of Vidyanagar in Hubballi hanged themselves to death at Rajdhama lodging at Sonda Vadirajmath in Sirsi taluk on Monday.

They had come four days ago and booked took a room till Monday. When they did not vacate the room, their door was broken open and the couple found dead.

Siddavva Halappa Ganiger (55), Kallappa Yallappa Madar (45) and Chennappa Basavanneppa Ullagaddi (35) died in a road accident in Ankola taluk on Sunday night.

The accident took place when a truck going to Yellapur hit Siddava, who was crossing the road, and then hit a standing truck killing driver Chennappa and cleaner Kallappa .

‘Sasya Sante’ at Sirsi

SIRSI JULY 12-A ten day ‘Sasya Sante’ has been launched at the premises of Kadamba Organic and Marketing Trust Sirsi beginning from Tuesday.

There is display and sale of saplings of clove,nutmeg.cocoa,jackfruit,pepper,mango,amla and other plants of good quality on the occasion.

On Wednesday and Thursday there is exhibition and sale of special quality Appemidi Mango saplings grown by the students of Forestry College and Horticulture College of Sirsi.

Farmers could also bring good quality saplings for sale in the Sante according to release.
