Lynko: Nomadic Furniture System by Natalia Geci

Natalia Geci has launched the latest in her nomadic furniture collection, LYNKO - a modular freestanding system designed to transform and created to fill the needs of a contemporary wayfaring lifestyle.

The current economic climate has developed an increasingly transient culture. With the idea of a home becoming less fixed and stable, Geci started to rethink what home meant to her and the relationship she had with her possessions. Years of accumulating furniture to then disregard it left Geci searching for a portable furniture solution that could integrate into any household, discouraging the throwaway culture and exploring the changing notions of the modern day home.

"My own itinerant family life led me to create the LYNKO system. After years of living in a multitude of environments from a big country house in a rural village to a small flat in London and even five of us living in a shipping container, I was buying furniture knowing I would dispose of it," Geci explained. "With the continuous upheaval in my life, I started to question exactly what I needed and I decided that I needed to create something light, flexible and easily tailored to accompany us on our adventures."

The resulting transportable storage solution features varying sized metal frames held together by wooden hinges, creating an innumerable amount of configurations ranging from a valet stand to a vanity area to a compact office space. Completely customizable, additional frames can be added to suit the needs of a growing family and when needed the system can be folded flat for storage or easy transportation.
