No Lazio deal for Adriano

The 31-year-old left-back only has one more year left on his current contract at Camp Nou.

There are reports he has already agreed terms for a move to Lazio and will demand he rescind his contract early.

“It’s completely false, Adriano has no intention of demanding a termination. In fact, his intention is to honour the contract, go through pre-season training with Barcelona and fight for his place,” agent Paulo Affonso told Calciomercato.it.

“I have been Adriano’s agent for 13 years and nobody else is authorised to speak on behalf of the player.

“There are negotiations with Lazio, which I am engaging in directly with (director of sport Igli) Tare, but there is no deal and no signature.

“I want to repeat it to be very clear, Adriano does not expect to terminate his Barcelona contract.”
