Did Timbaland Just Wear the Most GQ-Approved Outfit of All Time?

Rip our logo, add some Raf, and we're pretty much always on board

Timbaland has always been a hyper influential member of the music industry (this is the man who made Nelly Furtado and, to a certain degree, grown-up Justin Timberlake happen after all), but his sartorial choices haven't always blown us away. So imagine our surprise when he turned up on the red carpet at Monday's VH1 Hip Hop Honors in an outfit we can only describe as pretty damn good.

The producer showed up to the New York event—held to honor hip hop's greatest women, like Queen Latifah, Missy Elliot, and Lil Kim— in simple black jeans, a pair of clean white sneakers, and a shirt from the bleach-splattered fall 2014 collection Raf Simons designed in collaboration with artist Sterling Ruby. It's a grail-level piece that the designer himself has worn on more than one occasion (he has it in both purple and red), which—given Simons' level of talent and acclaim—makes it pretty unassailable.

That Timbaland paired all of this with a cheeky baseball cap that slyly references the GQ logo (it says OG, which the street initialism denoting an original gangster, for the uninitiated) is just icing on this pretty sweet sartorial cake. So good for you, sir. Keep the looks (and the hits) coming.
