3 arrested for boy's murder

Patna: Patna police on Monday arrested three persons in connection with the abduction and murder of a city boy, Shubham Kumar. The trio are named accused in the case.
Sources said Shubham, a resident of Gardanibagh area, used to go to a private coaching centre at Bikram on the outskirts of Patna. He befriended a girl of his batch at the coaching centre and also on Facebook.On July 8, Shubham went to meet the girl at Bikram but did not return home. His father, a class IV employee at secretariat, Chandra Bhushan Prasad lodged a complaint with the Gardanibagh police station on July 8.
Patna SSP Manu Maharaaj said, "We have arrested Alok Kumar, Pintu Kumar and Chhotu alias Medhabi in this connection. Alok is a former boyfriend of the girl... He said he and Pintu killed Shubham and abandoned his body in the Sone river. ."
Theft in ex-minister's house: T hieves, on Sunday broke open the doors of the house of former minister Shahid Ali Khan at Rukanpura under Rupaspur police station area. Patna City SP (west) Satya Prakash said, "Khan's family had gone to Sitamarhi to celebrate Eid. Two laptops, one i-pod, one rifle, 1kg silver and gold jewellery were stolen.
