Jaipur: Senior BJP legislator Ghanshyam Tiwari refuted the reports of hankering after any position on Monday. He claimed that he was touring the state to gather support for his cause of social harmony and economic justice.
"I do not want a post or any position. I am touring the state with the aim of bringing about social harmony and economic justice," said Tiwari, while addressing an event organised by the Brahmin community in Alwar district.
The rebel BJP legislator, known to be a vocal Vasundhara Raje critic, has launched the 'Deen Dayal Vahini' and is extensively travelling across the state for support.
Tiwari claimed that for the past 12 years now, the economically weaker sections in the society - irrespective of their castes - were assured a reservation but nothing concrete has been done so far. "I will continue my fight until reservation for the economically backward in the state is not implemented," said Tiwari.
Talking about deprived economic justice, he said, "After so many years of Independence, India ranks 198th in the list of poor countries. The country's 75% wealth belongs to only 10% of the people. The governments welcoming the corporates." Twari continued to criticise the chief minister and the public should be able to approach a state's CM and ministers easily, the politicians should not work sitting in closed rooms.
