Security beefed up for Sai Youth Fest

Festival to be held from July 12 to 14 at Puttaparthi.

Anantapur: Security was beefed up for first Satya Sai World Youth Festival to be held at Puttaparthi in the district for three days. In the wake of ISIS suspects' movements in the district, security was beefed up for the occasion. The Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations India (SS SSO India) and Sathya Sai International Organisation (SSIO) - a multi cultural spiritual service organisation said the 1st Satya Sai World Youth Festival to be held from July 12 to 14 at Puttaparthi.

The festival will be inaugurated by Mr Piyush Goyal, Union minister of state and cricketer Mr V.V.S. Laxman will be the guest of honour. Thousands of youth from around 70 countries would be participating in the unique momentous event. These include about 3,000 international youth delegates of Sathya Sai International Organisation from around 70 countries including Serbia, Peru, Nepal, Kazakhstan, Ghana, Israel, Trinidad & Tobago and New Zealand to name a few.

Around 1,300 delegates from all parts of India would also be joining. The event is aimed at addressing the importance of human values amongst the youth, in daily lives and their practice through love and selfless service, for the betterment of the world. The Sathya Sai International Organisation devoted to spread the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba and actively serves Sathya Sai devotees in over 120 countries around the world.

The youth delegates will share their valuable experience gained in their respective countries at this festival with the other participants, thus disseminating the universal and eternal message of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The festival will feature eminent speakers across the world such as Dr. Chandrasekhar Narayan, Director of Research IBM USA, Mr R. Venkataramanan, Executive Director Tata Foundation.

Sri Nimish Pandya, All India president, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations of India, said, “It brings immense pleasure to all of us as we continue to follow Sri Sathya Sai Baba's teachings and bring together the 1st Sathya Sai World Youth Festival. We are sure that the youth who are joining us in vast numbers would benefit from the insightful sessions,” the organisers said. Anantapur SP S.V. Rajasekhar Babu said elaborate security arrangements were made for the World Youth Festival in and around Tirupati.
