JK Thinkers Forum organises interactive session

JAMMU, July 11: JK Thinkers Forum organised an interactive session of Kashmiri Pandits in which cross-section and persons of various shades of opinion expressed their views over the return and rehabilitation of the community to the Valley.
Eminent economist and intellectual, Prof A N Sadhu presided over the session. The main agenda of the interactive session was return and Rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits to Valley.
While speaking on the occasion, Kuldeep Pandita, president of the Forum said that the Forum performs the role of a platform for inviting views of various shades of opinion and divergent assessments amongst the community to evolve a specific and concrete plan regarding the return and rehabilitation of community to Kashmir Valley.
Prominent persons including Prof R K Ganjoo, Vijaya Bakaya (NC), Ramesh Hangloo (Sharda Radio), Dr R L Bhat (JK VM), M K Yogi (NC), B L Saraf (retd, District and Session Judge, Sheela Handoo (BJP), Anil Dhar (NC), H L Bhat (JKVM), R K Bhat (president YAIKS) , Prof C L Razdan, Ashok Kangan, M K Jalali, (president Sharika Peeth) Sundri Lal, Maharaj Krishan Bhat (retd DySP) and PDP leader, V K Kashkari (ASKPC), Comrade Mohan Lal Raina (chairman of the Forum) Deepak Jad, Suneel Ji Pandita and Manoj Kumar from Migrant camp, Jagti expressed views on the subject-matter.
The Forum expressed deep concern and anguish over the stone pelting incidents at camp sites in Kashmir including Vessu, Hawal (Pulwama), Mattan for last three days as a result of which the camp inmates particularly PM package employees are highly scared.
It was demanded immediate advertisement for another 3000 posts under PM Package for which Government of India has already agreed to provide financial assistance.
The meeting said that Pandits being aborigines of Valley with a glorious history of over 5000 years, return of the community with honour and dignity assumes great importance that too on our own terms and conditions for which extensive deliberations involving vast sections of the community need to be held in future at various places.
