Minor thrown into well for plucking fruit, dies

Shahjahanpur (UP): A teenager was beaten up and then thrown into a well where he drowned for allegedly plucking jackfruit from an orchard on Monday, police said. The victim was assaulted up by Jitendra, Golu, Ashwani and Arun for plucking jackfruit from their orchard at Singpur village in Mirzapur area, the police said, adding that they later threw the minor into a well where he drowned.
