Lucknow: Armed miscreants shot at a rival gym owner in
Indiranagar and fled unchallenged on Monday night. The victim
Nitya Srivastava is resident of
Takrohi in Indiranagar and runs a gym in the area. He was returning home on his bike and as he passed by a brick kiln, his rivals stopped him and shot at him thrice, injuring his leg, shoulder and waist and fled.
Commuters rushed to Nitya's rescue and took him to
Ram Manohar Lohiya Hospital.
The doctors said he was lucky as none of the bullets were lodged in his body. He is under treatment. Preliminary investigations revealed that
Nitya had a shady past and was named in a murder case recently and was released on bail a few days back.

Sirohi said Nitya was being forced by the attackers to be witness in their favour. Sheikh Israr the manager of the gym owned by Nitya and
Chhotu have been named by Nitya in the case. Nitya suffered bruises as the bullets only whizzed past his leg and shoulder.
