2 hurt in road mishaps

SOLAN: A man was injured today near Bhud on the Baddi-Nalagarh Highway when his motorcycle was hit by a Swift coming from the opposite direction.

A man was injured today near Bhud on the Baddi-Nalagarh Highway when his motorcycle was hit by a Swift coming from the opposite direction.

The victim has been identified as Sunil Kumar. The police said a sudden a turn by the car driver without using indicator led to the accident. Sunil reportedly sustained injury on his leg and the pillion passenger was also injured.

In another accident, utility vehicle carrying milk from Nalagarh to Shimla was hit by a truck coming from the opposite side yesterday near Kishenpura on the highway. Drivers of both vehicles were injured.

Two cases of rash and negligent driving under Sections 279 and 336 of the IPC have been registered against the accused drivers in both cases.
