DC holds interaction with Media, prominent citizens

Deputy Commissioner, Sheetal Nanda, today held interactive session with media persons, prominent citizens, sarpanchs and members of Beopar Mandal to discuss measures for maintaining peace and tranquility in the district.The DC lauded the district media for their objective and constructive reporting in the prevailing situation with the hope that they will continue to play an appreciable role in this context. She appealed the media persons and general public to report any rumour or un-verified news to the district and police administration for authenticity before its publishing.

She also sought feedback of the govt schemes being implemented in the district and stressed upon media to carry stories highlighting various government schemes for larger interest of deserved segments of the society.Speaking on the occasion, SSP appealed media persons to act as bridge between different sections of the society and help in maintaining law and order in the district.The participants assured full cooperation for maintaining a peaceful atmosphere in the district.The session was also attended by ADC, Pawan Kumar Sharma, ACR Samba Parveen Kumar and other officials.
