Bike-borne engg student falls into nullah, dies

Bhopal: An engineering student died and two other students sustained injuries in a road accident on Saturday night. The bike-borne riders first collided with a road divider and the high impact flung them into a nullah.
A case was registered at Misrod police station. The tragedy took place when the trio were heading for dinner late in night. Over-speeding appears the cause of accident, police said.
The youth, Malkhan Singh, 23,who lost life, was a resident of Shivpuri and stayed in a rented accommodation at Saket Nagar.
His father works with forest department.
The injured are Govind Solanki, 22, and Kalyan Singh, 23. The trio had a booze party and were going for dinner at a dhaba on Mandideep Road. The bike belongs to Kalyan Singh. He was riding it while the youth was riding pillion.
After an alert from passers-by, police reached the spot, brought them out of nullah and rushed them to hospital where Malkhan succumbed. Two others are being treated.
They were to appear for an exam on Monday, police said. The body would be handed over to family members after completing formalities and the matter remains under investigation, officials said.
