Vadodara: Two minors, including a student of CBSE affiliated school, were detained for committing thefts in different areas of the city on Sunday. They had stolen mobile phones and a motorbike in two separate incidents. Police said one of them stole a mobile phone and a bike from Rajmahal Road.
"The boy studying in 9th standard in one of the Kendriya Vidyalayas said that he stole them from a man who was lying on the road in an inebriated state," the police said.

"The boy said his friends had mobile phones and bikes but he didn't have either of it. So he decided to steal. We called his parents and suggested that they counsel their kid to focus on studies," the police added. Another minor was detained in connection with mobile phone thefts in Navapura and Gorwa. He stole phones as he needed money for splurging on a lady he was in relationship with.
