Richard Prince taking art to new heights with High Times exhibit

Pass the art, dude.

After parting ways with art dealer Larry Gagosian in June, artist Richard Prince is collaborating with stoner bible High Times magazine on its September issue, and will launch a High Times show at gallery Blum & Poe in LA, which will even include Prince-designed rolling papers and a custom marijuana strain.

Work from Prince’s “Hippie Drawings” series will appear in the issue, and he’ll curate a selection of the mag’s covers from 1974 to 2014 for the show.

The parties are working with “cannabis creative” firm Green Street on the project.

Meanwhile, Blum & Poe’s Upper East Side location hosted an opening of a show by Pia Camil on Thursday, which arrived from the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati.
