Call for massive tree plantation in industrial clusters

The Telangana Chamber of Trade and Industry Promotion has exhorted the industry to become partners in the prestigious Haritha Haram programme launched by the State government.

Chamber chairman M.M. Yousuf stressed the need for plantation of trees to overcome the pollution related problems in the industrial clusters spread across the State. There was need for ensuring massive tree plantation on the outskirts of the State Capital which houses major, medium and small industries.

There were over 25,000 units of different sizes operational in Sanathnagar, Azamabad, Katedan, Nacharam, Jeedimetla, Balanagar, Uppal, Autonagar and other areas around the city and this necessitated plantation and nurturing of trees to overcome the problem of pollution, he added
