20 years after, first ever SAN from Ebonyi state revealed

It’s been 20 years since Ebonyi became a state of itself. The state was created by late Gen. Sani Abacha and now for the first time in their history can boast of their first SAN.

Ebonyi’s first SAN, Professor Amari Omaka was among the SANs appointed last week by the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee to be inaugurated in September this year.

Beaming with pride, the Chairman Nigerian Bar Association, Abakaliki Mr. Augustine Owoh said of the appointment, “We have been praying for SAN in our state. This is a dream come through and we are happy and grateful to God about it,”

Omaka, was before becoming a SAN, was a Lecturer in the Law Faculty of the Ebonyi State University(EBSU) and the former Dean of the Faculty.
