AR Rahman's 'Intimate' tour to begin from September

Academy Award-winning composer AR Rahman will be performing live in Britain in the month of September. The concert is touted to be a feast for the senses, showcasing his inimitable style and mix of eastern classical music with modern electro, world music and traditional orchestral arrangements.

According to an official Facebook post, the concert titled AR Rahman 'The Intimate Tour', kicks off at London's SSE Arena Wembley on September 22 and heads to Birmingham Barclaycard Arena on September 4.

For the first time ever, Rahman will be performing in Leeds on September 29 and Manchester on september 30.

"After the successful 18-date 'Intimate' tour in the US last year, we really wanted to bring it over to the UK. The show has all kinds of songs, some are Hindi, some Punjabi -- there's a lot of music to hear!
The Intimate Tour' is all about music, it's all about intimacy and seeing you face to face, and I look forward to seeing you all very soon," wrote Rahman on his official Facebook page.

Tickets for the show have already gone on sale.
