Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Jul 10 2016 8:32PM From Aug 15, foodgrains in PDS shops to be distributed via bio-metric system: SaryuDhanbad, Jul 10 (UNI) State's Food and Civil Supplies Minister Saryu Rai today said that from August 15 foodgrains from PDS shops to the beneficiaries would be distributed through the bio-metric system. Talking to the reporters here he said that the remaining people would be given foodgrains from ration cards. He said that the state government was also exploring the option of providing milk, clothes and other products at subsidised rates to the card-holders from the PDS shops. He said that soon talks would be held with the manufactures and a final decision will be taken in this regard. The minister said that people associated with 'Damodar Bachao Samiti' are gathering information about the companies which are polluting the water of the river.
