While two of missing people have sent a telegram, one of them sent a voice call to the family stating that they have joined IS.

Two days after 16 people were reported missing from Kerala in the past one month, intelligences sources have confirmed that at least 3 of them have joined ISIS.

The confirmation is based on the verification of the messages they have sent to their families.

While two of missing people have sent a telegram, one of them sent a voice call to the family stating that they have joined IS.

Bindhu, mother of one of the missing girl Nimisha met Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday and handed over a copy of the complaint she had earlier given to the police.

Vijayan assured her that the state police is investigating the matter along with central agencies like IB and the matter has been taken very seriously.

Earlier Kasaragod district panchayat member VPP Mustafa had said that all the missing individuals are from well educated, middle class families and had been showing keen interest in religious matters since the last two years.

Some reports also claim that there are doctors and engineers in the group.

Hakim, father of one of the missing men Hafesuddin from Kasaragod, told television channels on Saturday that his son had left a month ago and there was no news from him.

Abdul Rasheed, an engineering graduate, had left home with his wife and a two-year old daughter, stating that they were going to Mumbai for a job.
