Ahmedabad: After hot and humid spell week, Amdavadis may see thundershowers cool the city on Sunday. According to meteorologists, the city will remain cloudy with light rainfall.
Moderate to heavy rains will occur in South Gujarat and Saurashtra.
On Saturday, despite the cloudy skies, rains continued to elude the city for the sixth day in a row. The maximum temperature settled at 33.1°C and minimum was 26.8°C.
Relative humidity levels fluctuated between 79% and 63% making things distinctly uncomfortable for Amdavadis.

The clamminess from the hot cloudy weather drained citizens. However, there were some cool evening breezes. The last rains in the city fell last Sunday.
According to the Meteorological Centre, Ahmedabad, the city will witness a cloudy sky on Sunday too, with the possibility of light rain or thunderstorms.
According to the Met Centre, South Gujarat and Saurashtra received rainfall on Saturday, but central and north Gujarat remained humid and hot.

Deesa in Banaskantha district was the hottest town in the state with a maximum temperature of 36.4°C. It was also extremely hot and humid in Vallabh Vidyanagar town of Anand district where the maximum temperature was 36.3°C.
According to the forecast by the Met Centre, light to moderate rains are very likely at many places in districts of south Gujarat and at a few places in the north Gujarat region.
It predicted that rains will also occur at isolated places in Saurashtra and Kutch.
