Making a splash onto the Barn Theatre stage is DISNEY'S THE LITTLE MERMAID playing July 19 through July 31.

Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's animated film and hit Broadway musical, THE LITTLE MERMAID tells the story of Ariel (portrayed by Barn favorite Melissa Cotton Hunter), who longs to leave her ocean home - and her fins - behind and live in the world above. She'll first have to defy her father King Triton (portrayed by Barn leading man Eric Parker), make a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula (portrayed by Barn leading lady Penelope Alex), and convince the handsome Prince Eric (Barn favorite Jamey Grisham) that she's the girl whose enchanting voice he's been seeking. With Sebastian (portrayed by newcomer Michael Fisher), Flounder (played by second apprentice Kasady Kwiatkowska) and Scuttle (first year apprentice Quinn Moran) by her side, she embarks on an adventure of a lifetime.

Rounding out the cast are John Jay Espino as Grimsby, Patrick Hunter as Chef Louis, Charlie King as Prince's Eric's pilot, Hannah Eakin, Samantha Rickard, Andrea Arvanigian, Jackie Blasting, Lauren Landman, and Sarah Lazar as the Mersisters, as well as Brooke Evans and Nicholas R. Whittaker as Flotsam and Jetsam, Ursula's eels.

THE LITTLE MERMAID features several classic songs including "Under The Sea," "Kiss The Girl" and "Part of Your World," as well as new songs written by Oscar-winning Disney composer Alan Menken, the mastermind behind "Beauty and the Beast," "Aladdin" and "Pocahontas." Lyrics are by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater with a book by Doug Wright.
