It was decided to involve the history sheeters in this campaign as part of the “Reformative Policing’’efforts that are being made with a thought that if we are to check crime and its spread, there must be improvement both in our preventive and remedial efforts, says SP Rema Rajeshwari. The district police hopes that such positive reintegration programmes will help criminals to join the mainstream when factors predisposing a person to criminal behavior are addressed in a holistic fashion and the social acceptance needs are met, she said.
