The undertrials identified as Rvai, Bheema, Anand Kumar Sharma, Vinod, Sunny Katheria, Bablu Katiyar and Neeraj were sent to session court lockup after being produced on Friday for separate cases.
The police team, which escorted the seven undertrials from district jail, handed all of them to the court’s lock-up after producing them in the court. Sources said that the formalities of all the seven undertrials were completed and soon they were to leave for the district jail.

Immediately they raised an alarm making police personnel alert. "The alarm of the constables prevented the escape of an undertrial Ravi," a senior policeman said.
SP Rajesh Krishna said, "The police has also started investigating into what the shortcomings were as far as security at the court was concerned." "Without insiders help one cannot escape in such a manner."
