Police uncles' celebrate Eid with kids
JAIPUR: It was a special Eid for almost 20 kids who were invited by senior police officers to celebrate the auspicious festival at Ramganj police station.Ideated by the Community Liaison Group (CLG) and executed by police, the special function was organised for the first time in which senior police officers not only wished the kids but also have given Eidi to the little kids.

After offering the Eid namaz, the children aged from 410 years arrived in Ramganj police station where their police uncles welcomed them like guests.
Be it 4-year-old Mahi or 8year-old Adnan, everyone wished Eid Mubaarak to Sanjay Agarwal, commissioner of police, Anshuman Bhomia, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), North and other senior police officers.
Policemen asked those kids about their schools, education and also cracked jokes with them. The kids also offered roses to police and the latter had already brought a good number of chocolates and small toys to be given as Eidi to them.
"It was organised for the first time to give our next generation an impression that police is actually people's friend. Likewise, we too felt great to celebrate the holy festival with them where we had a rare opportunity to know about their school, education and dreams.
It was a very different kind of Eid for us unlike the regular law and order duties," said Bhomia while talking to TOI. When the kids were asked questions like if policemen get sleepy where they sleep in he police station, everybody busted in laughter.
In the end, the kids were happy to get chocolates and small gifts.
"They left with a promise that they will keep coming to celebrate festi vals with us," said a senior officer at Ramganj police station.
