Two die in hit-and-run case
Nagpur:RakeshWajjak, 35 and RavichandraKamble, 38, died in a major accident when an unidentified driver rammed his vehicle on their motorcycle near Jamtha Stadium on the Wardha-Amravati bypass road in the limits of Hingna police station on Wednesday. Cops said Rakesh, resident of Mondha slum, had succumbed on the spot, while Ravichandra who resided at Moda in Hingna, breathed last in Government medical college and hospital (GMCH).

The deceased were returning to their place when the killer vehicle, coming from the opposite direction, dashed on their motorcycle. The duo had severe injuries on the body.
Following the complaint by 70-year-old Haribhau Kamble, father of Ravichandra, cops registered an offence of negligent driving under section 304 A of the Indian Penal code (IPC). Cops are further investigating the matter.
Student molested in running bus
Nagpur: 21-year-old graduation student was molested in the bus by another passenger, identified as Shrikant Batra, in his 30s, on the way from Ahmednagar to Yavatmal on June 24. Cops said that woman was headed from Pune to city by the private bus whereas Batra had seated from Ahmednagar.
Sitabuldi cops had involved in the case and registered an offence of outraging modesty on Thursday as woman was travelling from Pune to Sitabuldi in the city.

The private bus had boarded from Pune and had stopped at the restaurant nearby to Ahmednagar when Batra had initially approached victim. Later, Batra had started touching victim's body parts whenever he had passed through her in the bus victim had said in her complaint.
Cops said the bus reached at Yavatmal, woman started commotion and informed other passengers who were travelling along with her. Bus staffers, who heard her plight, had immediately dropped Batra, who booked his ticket upto city, in Yavatmal.
It's learnt woman had sudden discussed issue with the bus manager who had given the name details of Batra which he had given while booking. Cops said they are yet to be established his address details and sent a team to nab him.
Four booked fraud case
Nagpur: Four fraudsters, identified as Rajsingh Chauhan (21), Alwar in Rajasthan, Rahulkumar Bhargav (20), Jaipur, Happy Kumar (20) from Sirsa and Rohit kumar (20) native of Mahendragarh in Hariyana, have been booked by Old Kampthee police on Wednesday for submitting forged domicile certificates to get the advances of the training at guard regimental area in Kampthee.
Following the complaint of Jaideep Singh (42), guard regimental centre, cops had registered offence of fraud under various sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Cops said that fraudsters had furnished fake certificates and presented it as originals to apply for the post of constable in regiment army military before June 23. The matter came to fore when their documents had rechecked by the officials as they all had started training for the same post.
Five years RI for woman's colleagues
District and additional sessions judge HC Mughate on Thursday has slapped five years rigorous imprisonment and fine of Rs1,000 on Roshan Kuhikar and Lakhan Paunikar holding them guilty for attempt to murder for having hurled their 17-year-old woman colleague down Mehdibagh bridge in 2013 after stabbing her. The colleagues were having a tiff over triangular romantic affair.
An offence of attempt to murder was registered against Kuhikar, Paunikar and another at Pachpaoli police station in 2013. The duo had lured their teenager colleague with a promise to have snacks together but later attacked to settle a score. The court, after the trial, held the two guilty for the murder attempt.
Fraudsters nabbed
Koradi police arrested two alleged fraudsters, identified as Gautam Nagrare and Mahendra Sontakke, within a span of 24 hours this week for their alleged role behind posing as projected-affected ITI candidates to get jobs in the posts of workmen at Koradi thermal power plant. An offence of fraud was registered in June this year against the duo at Koradi police station by chief engineer of KTPS after their documents and certificates were found fake.
Police said Nagrare was nabbed from Mankapur on Tuesday while Sontakke was picked up a day early from Khaparkheda. The cops are now ascertaining the means adopted by the duo to procure the fake certificates.
15-year-old boy reunited with family
Amardeep Lonare, 15, a native of Gadchiroli district, was handed over to his family by Dhantoli police on Thursday after he was rescued earlier this week from a tea stall at Congress Nagar chowk. The cops, identifying the boy from the newspaper advertisement of missing, contacted his family through Gadchiroli police.
Lonare had left home on Monday on cycle for school. Instead of heading to his school, Lonare headed to city on cycle. He had been staying at the tea stall until spotted by the cops. Lonare learnt to have been upset with family which prompted him to leave home. An offence of kidnapping too has been registered with Gadchiroli police station by Lonare’s family.
