'Cosmo' cover girl Ashley Graham calls out Amy Schumer over this 'double standard'

Ashley Graham, curvaceous model and celebrator of cellulite, covers the August issue of Cosmopolitan.

Inside the mag, the DNCE video vixen has a few words for comedian Amy Schumer, who vocalized her frustration for unknowingly being featured in Glamour's plus-size issue.

"I can see both sides, but Amy talks about being a big girl in the industry," Graham told the mag. "You thrive on being a big girl, but when you're grouped in with us, you're not happy about it? That, to me, felt like a double standard."

On Thursday, Schumer responded to Graham's comments via Twitter with a beautifully worded attempt to squash any burgeoning beef between the two.

Graham herself doesn't like to wear the plus-size label, but she feels she's still portraying an underrepresented body type.

"I'm giving curvy women a seat at a table that we've never been invited to before — a table with high-end fashion people who have never considered us beautiful," she said.

Graham also opened up about what her interracial marriage to filmmaker Justin Ervin has taught her.

"I've seen how racist America is," the Sports Illustrated cover girl said. It's opened my eyes to how ignorant I have been, how white privilege has taken over a lot of my thoughts and actions because it's just something that I take for granted."

Before tying the knot, Graham dated an alcoholic, and she recounted a scary story for Cosmo about a time when her former boyfriend became abusive.

"He threw a couch on me," she said. "He came home drunk. I was sitting on it, and he flipped it upside down. I remember my elbow being jammed but thinking, He didn't hit me; he was just really angry, you know... Looking back, I should've left, but I was an insecure woman in a terrible relationship who did not know herself."

You can read more of Graham's candid interview when the mag hits newsstands on July 12.
