Fair play to the ball boy who couldn't resist running onto the pitch and joining in with the Portugese official team photo.

It took a lot of bottle and Cristiano Ronaldo was clearly impressed with the teenager moments before the Euro 2016 semi-final.

Spurred on by the striker's support, he then went in for a hug and a selfie.

And he joins a long list of pitch invaders. Here are some of Newsbeat's favourites.

This United team essentially picked itself.

With Giggs, Scholes, Butt and Keane in the midfield there wasn't space for anyone else.

So when a Manchester United fan dressed up in full kit at an away game, it was amazing no-one batted an eye-lid.

Sadly it didn't work out for them that night.

Bayern Munich won the match 2-1 and went through to the semi-finals of the Champions League.

The gymnastic pitch invader

It was a decent night for Reading fans in the FA Cup with the team gliding to a 3-0 win over Bradford City.

But instead of the normal dive for the net, while getting chased by big blokes in high-vis jackets, one supporter did some brilliantly bad flips.

Once the crowd got into his routine, so did the club, playing some circus music over the tannoy.

He still got arrested though.

The 19th hole

Golf is a sport for well-dressed gentlemen.

Well that didn't stop this fella back in 1995, as he showed punters the famous "19th hole" at St. Andrews in Scotland.

He managed to make it half way up the fairway, holding a plastic set of clubs, before being carried off by security.

Cat takes centre stage

So we've all seen the TV cameras pan away from a streaker on the pitch.

Back in 2012 in Liverpool, the cameras didn't have to bother, as this unlikely invader was a local Anfield cat.

Brad Friedel from Tottenham Hotspur went to shoo him away but he simply carried on his stroll in front of 45,000 people - proving once again that cats do whatever they want.

He eventually went off the pitch to a standing ovation.

Ronaldinho lookalike

Argentina's training session at the World Cup in Brazil was interrupted by what appeared to be a familiar face.

Lionel Messi and his team-mates were doing exercises when a fan, looking remarkably like former Brazil star Ronaldinho, ran on to join them.

He was dragged off by officials but the players all seemed to enjoy the show and gave him a pat on the back as he went.
