The tale of Juno and Sabu

    Synopsis

Paytm's Shekhar Sharma retweeted NASA’s announcement that Juno was “poised to unlock the planet’s secrets”, he revealed a childhood obsession.

    ET Bureau
As NASA’s Juno spacecraft started successfully orbiting Jupiter on July 5, space nerds across our planet rejoiced. Amongst them was Vijay Shekhar Sharma, who it turns out, is also a comic junkie. As the Paytm CEO retweeted NASA’s announcement that the Juno was now “poised to unlock the planet’s secrets”, he also revealed a childhood obsession. “Kya koi Sabu ke parivaar se mila (Has anyone met Sabu’s family)?” Shekhar tweeted.

Those of the same vintage as Shekhar (or not) can quickly make the Chacha Chaudhary connection. The comic book series, authored by Pran, had the quick-thinking, problem-solving elder assisted by a giant alien from Jupiter named Sabu. Considered to be about 15 feet tall, Chacha’s sidekick also apparently caused a volcano to erupt at his home whenever he lost his temper on Earth. And now, perhaps you’ll know more about Sabu’s family, going by Shekhar’s tongue-in-cheek reference.
