Late on Tuesday and again on Wednesday morning, a message went out to the media from
Vivek Oberoi's official spokesperson. The message read, Tip off:
Vivek Oberoi"s new car to be delivered at Mehboob Studios on July 6, 2:30pm. Venue: Mehboob Studios, Bandra.
Over 50 photographers and reporters were present when the 39-year-old actor walked out to pose with his brand new, sleek
Mercedes Benz GLC-SUV.
The cameras clicked and the actor left, all smiles. But minutes later, his team was in a tizzy as the studio manager stepped out with a 'pauti' book, demanding a whopping Rs 80, 000 in fine. "Neither Vivek nor his team had thought to take the studio's permission to shoot at Mehboob Studios. And in this case, it was a planned event," informed the manager.
Vivek's team retorted that the actor,
Urvashi Rautela, other actors from
Great Grand Masti and a team from Balaji were shooting promotional videos in Studio 5.
"Vivek's car was parked in front of Studio 4 and the manager of Mehboob Studios had some problems with that. It was sorted eventually and no fine was paid," Vivek's spokesperson told Mirror.
However, eyewitnesses stated that there was a heated argument between the two parties, before the matter was finally 'settled'.
