YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's top priority is on strengthening the party

Two YSRC MLAs and also their close aides have already defected to TD.

Anantapur: YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy reportedly concentrated on strengthening the party during the four-day visit to his home turf and also to resist the leaders from defecting towards ruling Telugu Desam.

Jagan will also launch "Gadapa Gadapa Ku YSRC" at Idupulapaya on July 8, the birth anniversary of his father and former chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy.
While the TD was inviting the elected representatives and other leaders, YSRC chief reportedly is taking counter steps to resist defections from the party in his home district in particular. Two YSRC MLAs and also their close aides have already defected to TD.

Party sources said Jagan was convincing the leaders from his party to remain with party and that already defected MLAs were facing embarrassing situation due to the insulting attitude by TD leaders. Kadiri MLA A. Chand Bhasha issue was being quoted as example as that MLA had no regard even during routine party and official programmes.

A senior leader from Kadapa observed that there would be no more defections in future. Meanwhile, Jagan consoled the family members of farmers who committed suicide due to debts in Kadapa district on Wednesday.
