A large number of devotees participated in the Sri Jagannatha’s Ratha Yatra held in the city on Wednesday. The rally was organised by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) to seek the divine blessings for the welfare of whole society and world peace.

The rally was flagged off from near the Pattai Kovil and the devotees pulled the decorated chariot Chinna Kadai street; first agraharam; collectorate; four roads junction; new bus stand; five roads before reaching Sona College of Technology. Later, the devotees participated in the bhajans, Jagannatha Lila programme etc. A drama on the life and achievements of Bhagavan Jagannathar was also staged by the devotees on the occasion. The devotees from foreign countries too participated in the event.
